Roya Institute is pleased to share the ELCOP Call for Applications in the 21st Human Rights Summer School (HRSS). 

Empowerment through Law of the Common People (ELCOP) is a voluntary, non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental human rights education, research, and training organization dedicated to the common people of Bangladesh. 

We honor that the ELCOP founder, Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, is one of the Roya Institute Advisory Board members. 

The text of the call is as follows:

After two years of COVID-19 restrictions, Empowerment through Law of the Common People (ELCOP) is glad to organize the 21st Human Rights Summer School (HRSS) from 17th- 27th December 2022 at Proshika HRDC, Koitta, Manikganj, Bangladesh.

HRSS is a two-week residential training on human rights comprised of class lectures, small group exercises, simulation, community visits, moot court competitions, and many more. This year’s summer school theme is “Human Rights and Bangladesh: Leadership in Prospect.” Previously, distinguished scholars from Australia, India, Nepal, South Africa, Iran, and host Bangladesh were the resource persons in the program.

■ Participation Fee: USD 105.00 (For Foreign Participants), BDT 10,000 (For Bangladeshi Participants)
