Roya Institute Invitation to attend the second event of the “Meeting with writers and translators” series

One of the Roya Institute programs is a series titled “Meeting with writers and translators”. The main goal of this series is to get acquainted with new law books and dialogue with their authors and translators.

The first event of this series was held on December 10, 2020, which was an interview with Professor Emilia Justyna Powell on the publication of her new book“The Islamic Law States and International Law: Peaceful Settlement of Disputes”

In the second virtual event of this series, which you are inviting you to attend- will host the Clinical Legal Education Handbook authors. They are:

  • Linden Thomas, a senior lecturer and the supervising solicitor for the pro bono programs at the University of Birmingham Law School.
  • And Nick Johnson, senior lecturer at Leicester De Montfort Law School, and former director of Nottingham Law School’s Legal Advice Centre.

The English text of the book (University of London Press, 2020) is available to everyone here.

As we previously shared this news in English and Persian, by Roya Institute support, a team of translators led by Dr. Ali Akbar Siapush has translated this book into Persian. We have provided the PDF version of this translation (with the official and written permission of the authors and in compliance with the copyright regulations) for free to Persian language readers.

In addition to the book’s authors, Dr. Siapush and a number of his fellow translators will be present at the meeting. They will talk about their experiences in this scientific work.

The program moderator is Aisyah Binti Mohd Soberi (Roya Institute representative in Malaysia, lecturer at the Faculty of Law at University Malaya, and the manager of the University Malaya Legal Aid Clinic).

Professors, students, and general practitioners in the clinical program and those interested in these activities are invited to attend the program to learn more about the views of the authors and the experiences of the translators.
