All GAJE 2025 Awards Presented to Six Members of the Roya Institute Family

In a remarkable and proud moment, all of the 2025 awards presented by the Global Alliance for Justice Education (GAJE)  were awarded to six distinguished members of the Roya Institute family — individuals who have dedicated years to advancing justice education, legal empowerment, and compassionate pedagogy, either as members of the Roya Advisory Board or as its founder.

The 12th Worldwide GAJE Conference and its Training of Trainers (ToT) program, in cooperation with ENCLE and FUPP at the Faculty of Law, Lazarski University in Warsaw, Poland, brought together hundreds of educators, legal advocates, and justice defenders from around the world.  The Roya Institute played an active and visible role in this international event — through the involvement of its Advisory Board members, global representatives, and its Founder and Executive Director in shaping panel discussions, delivering scholarly presentations, and contributing to the ToT program, as well as serving on key committees such as the GAJE Fundraising Committee and the Conference Program Committee.

The recipients of the 2025 GAJE Awards are as follows:

  • GAJE Menon Award: Professor Catherine Klein and Professor Leah Wortham — both members of the Roya Institute’s Advisory Board
  • GAJE Legal Empowerment Award: Dr. Seyed Masoud Noori — Founder and Executive Director of the Roya Institute
  • GAJE Social Justice Organization Award: BABSEACLE — an organization whose co-founders, Bruce Lasky and Wendy Morrish, are both members of the Roya Advisory Board
  • GAJE Regional Justice Education Award: Leni Widi Mulyani — a legal educator and justice innovator, and a member of the Roya Advisory Board

At the Roya Institute, we believe that justice education is a lifelong journey — one grounded in humanity, ethics, and collective commitment. These awards provide fresh inspiration for us to continue, with renewed determination, our efforts in legal empowerment, support for marginalized communities, and the promotion of global dialogue based on dignity, coexistence, and equity.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the honorees. Their recognition not only affirms their personal achievements but also highlights the strength of our shared, collaborative approach to advancing justice, ethics, and inclusive education.

This success deepens our resolve to continue our mission — with hope, dedication, and a vision for a more just world.

We thank all of our colleagues, advisors, and partners who walk this path with us. Together, we stand firmly committed to justice — today and for the future.
